Mini project involving images embedded in python files

Python provides facilities to embed images into python files. The tool for this is called img2py. One can embed multiple images into one file. It is however hard to keep track of which images are in which file when you heavily start using this.

To my knowledge no GUI tool exists to aid the programmer in managing those files. If you feel capable I would like to see a tool that does:

  • display all images in a python file
  • let user extract or add images to a file
  • select some images from a file ('library') and create a new file from it

Naturally from GNUmed's point of view I would like to see a GUI that make use of wxpython. It could then be used on Windows, MacOSX and Linux. You are however free to choose.
